Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026. These terms are version-controlled in our public code repository.
1. Who these terms apply to
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Duit loan matching platform operated by Duit Digital Private Limited at www.duitai.in and related sub-domains. By using this platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
These terms apply to borrowers seeking a lender match. Separate commercial terms govern our arrangements with partner lenders and distribution partners.
2. Duit's role as a Lending Service Provider
Duit Digital Private Limited is a Lending Service Provider (LSP) as defined under the Reserve Bank of India's Digital Lending Guidelines (September 2022, as amended). In this role we operate the borrower-facing matching platform and maintain LSP agreements with each partner lender governing our referral role, data handling, and compensation. We are subject to RBI oversight through our partner lenders, who are directly regulated banks and NBFCs.
Duit does not: lend money, hold or disburse funds, set interest rates or fees, guarantee credit approval, collect repayments, or hold borrower documents at any point.
3. The matching service — what it is and what it is not
What the match represents. A match result indicates that your stated profile satisfies the published eligibility criteria of the matched lender as evaluated by our engine at the time of your check. Eligibility criteria include factors such as employment type, income requirements, existing obligations, serviceable geography, and credit profile. Our matching is eligibility-based — we route to the lender whose criteria your profile fits, not to the cheapest or most profitable option.
What the match does not represent.
- It is not a pre-approval, sanction letter, or offer of credit.
- It is not a comparison of interest rates, processing fees, or any other pricing attribute.
- It is not a guarantee of approval. The lender conducts its own independent underwriting, which may include a formal credit bureau enquiry and document verification.
- It is not financial advice. A match result is an eligibility signal only.
Partner lenders update their eligibility criteria periodically. A match reflects criteria as evaluated at the time of your check and does not bind the lender.
4. No CIBIL impact for checking
Using the Duit matching platform does not create a hard enquiry on your credit report. Lenders may conduct a formal bureau enquiry (hard pull) when you formally apply with them — this is the lender's process and is disclosed by the lender on their platform.
5. Free for borrowers
Using Duit costs you nothing. There are no fees or charges for borrowers at any stage of the matching process. Duit earns a success-based fee from partner lenders, payable only when a loan is successfully disbursed following a Duit referral. You are never charged directly or indirectly.
6. Your obligations
- Accuracy. You agree to provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge. Matching outputs depend on the accuracy of the inputs you provide.
- Personal use only. The matching platform is for your own personal loan requirement. You may not use it to generate leads, build datasets, or for any commercial purpose.
- Eligibility. You confirm that you are an individual aged 18 years or above and a resident of India.
- No automated access. You may not scrape, crawl, or access the platform by automated means.
7. The borrower–lender relationship
If you choose to apply with a matched lender, you enter into a direct relationship with that lender, governed by the lender's own loan agreement, terms, and policies. Duit is not a party to that agreement. Any dispute regarding loan approval, disbursement, interest rates, repayment, or charges is between you and the lender and must be addressed through the lender's grievance mechanism. Grievance contacts for each partner lender are published on our Lenders page.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this platform — including the How Banks Think knowledge series, editorial content, and design — is the property of Duit Digital Private Limited. You may read and share individual pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, adapt, or republish content commercially without prior written permission.
9. Limitation of liability
- Duit provides the matching service on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis and does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- Duit is not liable for any lending decision made by a partner lender, including approval, rejection, rate offered, or conditions applied.
- Duit is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the platform.
- Our total liability to you in connection with any claim under these terms shall not exceed ₹1,000.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to raise the matter through our grievance mechanism and allow 30 days for resolution.
11. Grievances
